In 2025 Pungo Mountain Outfitters took over operations all the lodge hunting operations. The characteristics of these animals combined with the topography of their habitat provide the optimum challenge to those hardy souls interested in their pursuit. We spend many days scouting and preparing for your hunt long before your arrival. We utilize horses and mules to access the sheep and goat country, and then continue our hunts from roving camps with backpacks. Our day is spent glassing the slopes and moving until a trophy class Ram or Billy is spotted. This is a 10-day hunt. All sheep and goat permits in Idaho are on a lottery basis. Applications must be sent to the IdahoFish and Game Department no later than April 30. All applicants are notified of the results by June 10. We are happy to assist you with the procedures and recommended units.
