bugle elk combination hunts
During a 7 days/6 nights trip we invite you to come and experience the bugle hunt in the most remote country in the continental U.S. This hunt accesses such extremely rugged and remote country that large bulls rarely encounter hunters in their wild habitat.
Pungo Mountain Outfitters LLC is the sole outfitter for over 300 square miles in the Frank Church Wilderness area. Hunt availability: Mid-September through mid-October.
mule deer rut combo rifle hunt
During a 6 days/5 nights trip we invite you to come and experience our wilderness late mule deer hunt in the most remote country in the continental U.S. This hunt accesses such an extremely rugged and remote country that this is one of the few places in Idaho that hunters are allowed to rifle hunt mule deer bucks during their rut. These bucks come out of their haunts in search of does, which make them much more accessible to our hunters. Pungo Mountain Outfitters is the sole outfitter for over 300 square miles of the wilderness area. Hunt availability: Late October thru late November (select weeks)

The roots of Pungo Mountain Outfitters, Middle Fork Lodge Outfitters, have been providing the expertise necessary to hunt Sheep since 1963. In 2025 Pungo Mountain Outfitters took over operations all the lodge hunting operations. The characteristics of these animals combined with the topography of their habitat provide the optimum challenge to those hardy souls interested in their pursuit. We spend many days scouting and preparing for your hunt long before your arrival. We utilize horses and mules to access the sheep and goat country, and then continue our hunts from roving camps with backpacks. Our day is spent glassing the high peaks and moving until a trophy class Billy is spotted.
This is a 10-day hunt. All goat permits in Idaho are on a lottery basis. Applications must be sent to the IdahoFish and Game Department no later than April 30. All applicants are notified of the results by June 10. We are happy to assist you with the procedures and recommended units.
